About the Speaker
As a senior design engineer at Motorola, Dr. Tredennick
developed the logic and microcode for the original Motorola
68000 microprocessor. As a member of the research staff
at IBM's Watson Research Center, he developed logic and
microcode for the Micro/370. He has taught at the University
of Texas at Austin, U.C. Berkeley, and founded several Silicon
Valley startup companies. Dr. Tredennick has published over
fifty technical works and holds nine patents. He currently
works for Gilder Publishing as editor of the industry publication
Dynamic Silicon.
